Hi friends-- Man, ya miss a day and all hell breaks loose! Lots of posts yesterday. Sorry I wasn't able to be online. In several threads, some of you made mention of things I had written about "core beliefs" and "flawed thinking patterns." A while back (Dec. 99) I posted in three different threads about these issues. Since I don't know how to do links ( The threads are entitled "Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in Marriages - Part 1", written by me on Dec. 30, 1999. "Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in Marriages - Part 2", written by me on Dec. 30, 1999, and an earlier thread about anxiety disorders and marriages, called "K-Anxiety, OCD & Marriages" written by me on Dec. 3, 1999. The first two threads are fairly long (yeesh) but the cognitive approach in helping me rebuild my life, based on reality, has been incredible for me. It costs me $100 a week to get this therapy--I offer it to you for free Hope it helps... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Here are the links: Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Marrriages (1) Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Marriages 2 K - anxiety, OCD and marriages (I'm a computer geek! Wow! Francis, I definitely have some negative core beliefs! My eyes teared up when I read #3. That must be a biggie for me. I have an older sister that we know suffers from depression but we can't get her to seek help. After reading this, I think she's OCD as well. I will HAVE to show these posts to her! Maybe I'll go with her. She might be less worried about it if someone goes with her. I could use the cognitive therapy. That much I'm sure of. I'm reluctant to take meds, though. I would like to see if I can do without. Thank you so much! Do you have any idea how much you have helped people by posting here? You are far from being bad or evil. You are kind and good. You are an angel! [This message has been edited by TruthSeeker (edited March 08, 2000).] IP: Logged |
