I am involved with a couples support group, 4 christian couples trying to improve our marriages, 3 of these couples are in crisis. We are thinking of trying to use the 5 steps to romantic love workbook. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on this. Has anyone used this as group, any tips????

lizam,

Here is something that I think is just what you're looking for. It's a little bit ahead of schedule, which means that I would have liked to provide more information about it. But, if it will help you now, then now is the time.

In short, it is a 12 week course that is offered at a church after a seminar by Dr. Harley. It walks through His Needs, Her Needs chapter by chapter (basically).

Below are the links to download both the instructors manual and the workbook. It's all somewhat self-explanatory. The files are in PDF format. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) to read and print it out.

These are copyrighted forms that are being made available through Marriage Builders only. For those that use the forms, no charge for participation are to be made other than to cover materials costs.

I'll be posting it on a more dedicated section of the web site...uh...in the near future. It's on that "to do" list that now runs down the end of our street.

Here are the links:

Instructors Guide 320KB
Workbook 4.5MB (download time is about 1 hour with 28.8 modem)

God bless,

Steve

Thank you for the information, and response! I have been able to download the facilitaor sheet, but not the workbook. I have tried several times and I can not get it to work. I am so far from being a computer geek that maybe I would be better off having my 13 year old try.
Basicly what I have tried is...I have clicked open on your shortcut and when it seemed done I have saved it on the desk top and tried to open it with Adobe Reader 3.0 and the 4.0 versions.. I get the message that an opening error has occured... did notice in the properties that the mbi file size is 0 bytes. That may or may not be normal, just thought I would mention it.
If you can offer me anymore help that would be greatly appreciated..by the couples in our group and there families too! We are trying to keep our marriages together while trying to improve them, so far it appears that only one spouse from each couple is really pursuing reconciliation, they feel there is no hope, nothing they can do to fix things.
My husband and I counceled with you a few times last year, then H decided he would not do that anymore, but I do feel that it would have helped to resolve our problems if we put our hearts into it. Thank you for the help you were able to give us in that short time also.
