Continuing Education Units (CEU)
Although this workshop has been designed for couples, it's a terrific opportunity for all levels of therapists and caregivers who have been involved in marital therapy. Psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, nurses, chemical dependency counselors, and clergy would all be appropriate participants. Spouses are also encouraged to attend and participate.
Due to the highly educational nature of this workshop and excellent opportunity for professionals involved in marriage therapy, Marriage Builders® has been approved for 8 hours of continuing education credit from the following boards:
Minnesota Board of Psychology
Minnesota Board of Social Work
Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy
For the Minnesota Board of Nursing: this workshop has been designed to meet with the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements. However, the nurse is responsible for determining whether this workshop meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
Educational objectives are:
- To present the theory and practice of an approach to marriage counseling developed by Willard F. Harley, Jr.
- By attending the "How to Fall in Love and Stay in Love" couple's weekend, counselors can learn how to help couples identify and overcome marital habits that destroy romantic love.
- By attending the "How to Fall in Love and Stay in Love" couple's weekend, counselors can learn how to help couples identify and meet emotional needs that, when met, create and sustain romantic love.
