Materials
Seminar attendees will receive,
- His Needs Her Needs: Habits for a Lifetime of Passion (Harley, 2002): an audio series that compliments Dr. Harley's best-selling book, His Needs Her Needs. Twelve audio sessions with Dr. Harley help provide motivation and insight to couples who want to apply the lessons of His Needs Her Needs to their marriage. A copy of His Needs Her Needs and a lesson assignments booklet are included with the compact disc series.
- Love Busters: Overcoming Habits That Destroy Passion (Harley, 2002): a companion audio series to "His Needs Her Needs: Habits for a Lifetime of Passion." Twelve audio sessions with Dr. Harley help the readers of Dr. Harley's book, Love Busters, identify and eliminate selfish demands, disrespectful judgments, angry outbursts, annoying habits, independent behavior, and dishonesty. A copy of Love Busters and a lesson assignment booklet are included with the compact disc series.
- 5 Steps to Romantic Love (Revell, 2002): a workbook to help couples apply the principles found in the first two books. The contracts, questionnaires, inventories, and worksheets that Dr. Harley has used in his counseling practice are arranged in a logical sequence to help couples follow Dr. Harley's Five Steps.
- Fall In Love, Stay In Love (Revell, 2001): a book encapsulating Dr. Harley's three main components for a successful marriage: meeting emotional needs, avoiding Love Busters, and making decisions together.
- Surviving an Affair (Revell, 1998): a book Dr. Harley would like you to read even if you are not faced with the tragedy of an affair.
- A seminar workbook that includes Dr. Harley's notes, questionnaires, and worksheets.
- Access to the private follow-up section of the Marriage Builders® Forum where you can ask Dr. Harley your questions about your weekly assignments and read other couples' questions and his answers to them.
A set of materials will be given to each Individual Registrant or Couple Registrants.

Continuing Education Units (CEU)
Although this workshop has been designed for couples, it's a terrific opportunity for all levels of therapists and caregivers who have been involved in marital therapy. Psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, nurses, chemical dependency counselors, and clergy would all be appropriate participants. Spouses are also encouraged to attend and participate.
Due to the highly educational nature of this workshop and excellent opportunity for professionals involved in marriage therapy, Marriage Builders® has been approved for 8 hours of continuing education credit from the following boards:
Minnesota Board of Psychology
Minnesota Board of Social Work
Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy
For the Minnesota Board of Nursing: this workshop has been designed to meet with the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements. However, the nurse is responsible for determining whether this workshop meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
Educational objectives are:
- To present the theory and practice of an approach to marriage counseling developed by Willard F. Harley, Jr.
- By attending the "How to Fall in Love and Stay in Love" couple's weekend, counselors can learn how to help couples identify and overcome marital habits that destroy romantic love.

Dress
Wear something comfortable. Dr. Harley should be the only one in the room wearing a tie! There will be no formal events planned, so you don't need to bring anything dressy, unless you and your spouse have planned a special event.
