My Basic Concepts will help you resolve your marital conflicts and restore love to your marriage. But after reading these concepts, you may have a few questions about how they can be applied to your situation. Over the years, I have received thousands of these questions, and have answered many of them. Answers to the most commonly asked questions are posted in this section of the Marriage Builders® site.
To make it easier for you to find columns that address your specific question, I have listed general topics on the left. Click a topic to read a short review of each Q&A column relevant to that topic, with links to each column (the links are in the review itself as well as a list to the left of the page).
Another way to find a relevant Q&A column is to use a word search. The search engine ("Search Our Site," found at the top right-hand side of each page) not only lists Q&A columns, but also includes articles and other places where your topic is discussed on this web site.
These Q&A columns assume that the reader is familiar with my Basic Concepts. Most of those asking questions have been trying to apply these concepts to their marriage, so without an understanding of them, my answers might not make much sense to you. So be sure to read my Basic Concepts before you read these columns.
Try not to let my redundancy annoy you. I repeat concepts for emphasis, and the same strategy is often effective in many different situations. If something works, why change it. So when you see the same thoughts expressed over and over, don't skip them because you've seen them before, but read them carefully each time. When you are in the middle of a conflict, if you have seen the solution many times, you will be more likely to remember what to do.
